Institute 801 of the Sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) is a unit dedicated to the development of small and medium thrust liquid rocket engines and space propulsion systems. Its products are widely applied in crewed spaceflight, satellites, missile weapons, launch vehicles, deep space exploration and many other fields.
In China's crewed space program, Institute 801 has undertaken the development of all crewed spacecraft propulsion systems, including the propulsion system of the crewed spacecraft, the integrated replenishable propulsion systems of the cargo spacecraft and the space laboratory, the integrated replenishable propulsion system of the space station core module, and the propulsion systems of the Wentian and Mengtian lab modules. It successfully completed all launch flights, rendezvous and docking, and on-orbit refueling missions of crewed spacecraft, making important contributions to China's crewed space program.
